This is a great infographic on traffic populations in one of the most car congested areas I know — Los Angeles.

What everyone needs to realize is that a commuter taking public transport or riding a bike is still one less car on the road.

Vehicle heavy areas with crazy levels of traffic (Metro Manila and Bangkok, I’m talking to you!) could surely apply this. Singapore can too, on some level, provided that sharing the road and cyclist’s safety campaigns are backed by the government and the populace.
